The more I progress in my college education the more I realize I’m not actually learning the material.

I’m learning how to game the material. Instead of understanding the concepts in the textbook I’m learning what information to look for that will likely be on a quiz/exam. Instead of reviewing the concepts on questions I get wrong I’m learning how the professor laid out the question to know how to properly make an educated guess next time.

I am a solid A-B Grade student and I’m not sure in my 3 years of college I’ve really learned anything. I’ve just learned how to better get by in the college system.

This is not to say I don’t want to learn the concepts but the style and structure of learning doesn’t give me enough time to properly do that. Instead I’m buried in workloads that force me to find the most effective path to success in the college scoring system.

Thanks for all the debt university. I really appreciate the education on how to beat a poorly designed educational system. I’m sure this will be useful in the real world
